Superior School District to serve free meals for kids

Any child age 18 or younger can receive food at parks and community sites.

SUPERIOR — The Superior School District will be offering free meals to children age 18 and younger at local parks and community sites starting Monday, June 13.

All children are welcome. Meals must be consumed on site.

Meals will be offered at the following parks from June 13 to Aug. 19: 18 Oaks Park, Billings Park, Central Park, Hammond Park, Wade Bowl and Webster Park. Lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with a snack served from 4-4:30 p.m.

Free meals for children will also be provided at a number of community sites from June 13 to Aug. 26. They include the following: Lakeside Terrace from 11:15-11:30 a.m.; Bartley Manor from noon to 12:15 p.m.; Heritage Park from 12:25-12:40 p.m.; Aspen Courts from 1:10-1:30 p.m.; and the Boys and Girls Club of Superior will serve lunch from noon to 1 p.m., as well as a snack from 3:30-4 p.m.
