Oliver Bridge to close for inspection

The closure will take place daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from Monday, Aug. 15, to Friday, Aug. 19.

DULUTH — The Oliver Bridge, located over the St. Louis River at the junction of Minnesota Highway 39 and Wisconsin Highway 105 in Gary New Duluth, will close daily Monday, Aug. 15, through Friday, Aug. 19, for a scheduled inspection.

The bridge will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during that time frame, according to a news release issued by the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The bridge will not close until 8:30 a.m. each day, and all equipment will be removed from the bridge so the it can be re-opened to traffic by 4:30 p.m. each day, the news release said.
