Free tax help is available to Wisconsin residents at the Superior Public Library, 1530 Tower Ave., through the TaxAide program. Certified, experienced volunteers will be preparing personal taxes from noon to 4 p.m. every Monday and Thursday, Feb. 7 through April 7.

The TaxAide program, which is supported by AARP, can prepare federal and Wisconsin taxes, Wisconsin homesteads and Minnesota income for Wisconsin residents. All taxes are electronically filed. There is no income or age limit.

Taxpayers can sign up for the free filing help from 10:30 a.m. to noon Jan. 20, 26 and 31 and noon to 2 p.m. Jan. 27 at the library with TaxAide volunteers.

Library personnel cannot answer tax questions or sign up taxpayers for the free preparation services. Participants must sign up for the tax help in advance.
