SUPERIOR — Fans of Bucktales Cantina and Grill on Wisconsin 35 near Pattison State Park will soon have two locations to choose from.
Owners Dee and Mary Ellen Morales plan to open their second Bucktales restaurant Friday, May 13, in the former Shorty’s Pizza and Smoked Meats building, 1015 Tower Ave.
“We are excited and thankful for all the community support received as we add a location to downtown,” Mary Ellen Morales said.
The menu will include favorites from both Bucktales and Shorty’s, including pizzas.
“A little bit for everyone,” Morales said.
Patrons got a sneak peek of the cantina Thursday, May 5, when the bar portion of the restaurant hosted a Cinco de Mayo event beginning at 2 p.m.
The Morales' have owned Bucktales since 2014. The restaurant, located 12 miles south of Superior, is known for Mexican staples as well as American favorites and a signature queso sauce.
