Greetings from the construction zone.
If you've stopped by Superior Public Library in recent weeks, you've definitely noticed that things are moving along with our remodeling project. Since the Children's Room is being worked on at the moment, we've relocated the children's computers to one side of the adult public computers. Patrons under the age of 18 can log in to the computers on the right side while the computers on the left are reserved for patrons age 18 and older. If you have trouble logging in, please ask library staff for help.
Due to construction in the Children's Room, Tuesday Storytime has been temporarily relocated to the Billings Park Civic Center, 3903 N. 18th St. Join us at the civic center at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday. Other regular library offerings like LEGO Club and our monthly Pajama Storytime will continue to meet at the library until further notice. LEGO Club meets 6-8 p.m. every Monday, and our next Pajama Storytime is at 6:30 p.m. March 22; it will feature an Easter theme. Join us for these fun, free programs for kids.
Speaking of programs for kids, Northern Expressions Arts Collective always has great ideas to encourage kids to be creative and have fun. They'll come to the library and teach children how to make balloon animals at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. The program is free and no registration is required.
Are you looking for an opportunity to read books and meet other eager readers? Come to the library's monthly book club. We meet at the library at 10:30 a.m. the first Tuesday of every month and read all sorts of books - mysteries, romances, classics, nonfiction and more. For our March 6 meeting, we're reading "Boundary Waters" by William Kent Krueger. All are welcome to join us for spirited discussion.
