For my part every chance I get to see history in our nation's capital I try to watch. As many of us witnessed the recent inaugural, I wonder who saw one man, alone, face the nation - walking, smiling, professional. We all have our favorites. But there was a moment when I saw Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Massachusetts) step into view to take his place in order to witness this moment.
"Some men see things as they are and say why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not," said Senator Robert F. Kennedy (D-New York). All is rhythm.
Many people dreamed of this inaugural, and many thought "not in my lifetime." Everyone but Ted. He dreamed it into reality. And there he was a part of it.
How many of us have his courage and determination to seize the day and live for our dreams? I hope we all do, because this matters to our nation, our fellow Americans, and our soul.

It mattered that he was there. He said he would be. And he said more than words.
I'm glad I got to see that.
