To the Telegram:
The Aug. 14 editorial proposes that in politics it is likely that political parties participate in the writing of "ghost letters" to support political candidates. However, by identifying one particular candidate in your editorial you have, intentionally or unintentionally, voiced your support for the opposing candidate or party. The editorial would have better served the public by informing them of this common practice; unfortunately, in my opinion, the author chose to make a political statement. The final paragraph states that you do not "play judge and jury in this matter." I disagree, you most certainly did.

Editor's note: The Telegram has made no decision regarding support for candidates. When that happens, it will be based on group concensus, not the choice of a single editor or individual.
