To The Telegram,

On Wednesday, Harbor House Crisis Shelters had a great experience with the United Way-Day of Caring. We had three workers from the Daily Telegram and one from Target. Their task was to help sort donations in our garage. They worked hard and accomplished so much!

Thank you to the Daily Telegram and Target for supporting this event -- allowing their employees to spend time helping in the community. We are grateful for your "caring."

We especially want to thank the United Way of Superior-Douglas County for organizing and sponsoring this event. The board and staff deserve our community's appreciation for this event -- connecting people to people.

What a wonderful event and example for our community. Our hope is that each one of us will make each day a day of caring -- reaching out to those in need.
