The safety of others should always come first. We also live near this proposed archery range in Solon Springs. We are always out on our property either walking, riding or cutting wood. Our son is very much an outdoors person. We strongly feel his and other children's safety comes first, always first.

Second comes the noise control. The reason we chose to live in rural Solon Springs is for the peace and quit, since we both work in Duluth-Superior.

If noise was not an issue, then we would live in Duluth or Superior. We love the natural beauty that God gave us, which includes the wildlife. We recently built a deck so we can come home after work to enjoy the sounds of nature (love the birds and raccoons), not to listen to a crowd of noisy neighbors all hours of the day and night.

Douglas County zoning board, we pray that you strongly listens to our concerns, since our town does not care about the people living in our community. We need you to help protect us, our children and neighbors.

We ask those involved in the archery range to have second thoughts and choose a different location that would be safe for all.
