Leonard R. Tetzlaff, age 55, longtime resident of the Superior area, died peacefully at home, with his wife at his side.

He was born May 10, 1952, in Tomah, to James and Juanita Tetzlaff. Leonard was noted for his dart shooting, recently at the Roadhouse in Hawthorne. He was a avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and his second wife, Janet.

He is survived by his loving wife of 12 1/2 years, Lucille, of Hawthorne; three sons, Leonard P. Tetzlaff, Kevin Metzger and Shawn Metzger; four step-children, Jean (Randy) Androsky, Michael Hendrickson, Mollie (John Nelson) Boreen and Ross Hendrickson; 10 grandchildren; three brothers, James (Tina Folfesi) Tetzlaff, William (Diane) Tetzlaff and Larry (Carol) Tetzlaff; three sisters, Sharon (Rick) Egbert, Juanita (Willie) Cheers and Linda (Jerry) Gulley; many nieces and nephews; and his sidekick, Buford.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 3 p.m. until the 5 p.m. memorial service Monday at his residence, 7222 South County Road E, Hawthorne.
