More than 900 children are signed up to receive school supplies through the Stuff the Bus program this summer.

The program provides in-need children throughout the county with basic classroom supplies.

Students in kindergarten-12th grade from Superior, Solon Springs, Maple and Northwood school districts, Maranatha and Cathedral schools living in Douglas County are eligible for the program. Parents have until the end of the day Friday to register their children. The supply pickup is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Superior Middle School.

Stuff the Bus organizers are collecting items at partners' locations including Wal-Mart, Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce, United Way, The Daily Telegram, Douglas County Department of Health and Human Services and Superior Housing Authority through the weekend.

Anyone interested in registering their children for supplies may visit the Chamber Web site at www.visitsuperior.com or call the Superior Housing Authority at 394-6601 or the United Way at 394-2733. Anyone interested in making a monetary donation to Stuff the Bus may contact any of the three.
