Joyce V. Campbell, 82, Superior, died Friday, May 11, 2007, in St. Mary's Medical Center, Duluth.
Joyce was born to Sophie (Larson) and John Nelson on April 18, 1925, in Superior.
She was united in marriage to Roderic John Campbell on Dec. 28, 1945, in Concordia Lutheran Church in Superior.
Her memberships include the Concordia Lutheran Church of Superior and the Lakeside Lutheran Church of Webster, Wis. She was a 50-year member of Chapter AD, PEO Sisterhood, of which she had held the office of past president.
Joyce was a former member of the Nemadji Women's Golf Association and was a past president of the Superior Jaycettes. She was also a former board member of the Superior Children's Home and Refuge Association for many years. This was a place of shelter for children in need of care.

Joyce had worked in the family business, Campbell's Building Center, on a part-time basis.
She loved being with her family, especially the time spent with her five grandchildren. The lake home at Conners Lake in the Webster area was a place that held special meaning and memories for Joyce. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed golf and gardening.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years; her daughters, Kathleen (Louis) Linde-Adams of Payson, Ariz. and Carolyn Weil of Voyager Village, Wis.; three sisters, Betty Jorgenson of Palm Springs, Calif., Gloria Fetzer of Germantown, Wis. and Jane Lofquist of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Warren (Arlene) Nelson of Eau Claire and Col. Ret. U.S.A.F. James (Nancy) Nelson of Edmond, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be in Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Avenue and North 19th Street, beginning at 5 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Roger Pittman will officiate at her funeral service on Monday at 2 p.m. in the Lakeside Lutheran Church located on County Trunk H in Webster.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Ellis, Toby Olson, Dwight Buer, Peter Stroozas, Ray Halvorson, Robert Downs, Larry Kappes and Terry Andersen.
