John Lager, 62, died unexpectedly June 26, 2008, in Minneapolis.
He grew up in Dayton, Ohio, where he graduated from high school and attended Wright State University. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam war, worked for General Motors for 17 years and most recently was the proprietor of Lawnsmith in Minneapolis. Generous, ethical, hardworking, John was blessed with an artist's eye and sensibility and brought much joy to others thru his amazing sense of humor.
He loved his family and nature, was a fine photographer and gardener, enjoyed fishing, skiing, films; in younger years he had a significant talent for baseball.
Beloved son, cherished brother and brother-in-law, much loved uncle, nephew, cousin and respected small business owner, he is greatly missed by all.
Preceded in death by his father, Vernon Lager.

He is survived by his mother Ruth Raley; brother Jeffrey Lager; sisters Sharon and Catherine Lager; nieces Jennifer and Andrea Lager; sister-in-law Deborah Lager; brother-in-law Herb Brown; an aunt; many cousins; friends and customers.
