The University of Wisconsin-Superior men's hockey team won a pair of games over the weekend, 5-0 at UW-Stevens Point Saturday night and 3-1 Sunday afternoon at UW-Eau Claire.
Chad Beiswenger recorded the shutout for the Yellowjackets Saturday at K.B. Willett Arena, finishing with 24 saves.
On offense, UWS got three goals from Braden Desmet, a goal and two assists from Corey Stark and a short-handed goal from Corey Lennartson one minute into the game.
On Sunday at Hobbs Ice Center in Eau Claire, the 'Jackets scored three goals in the first period of a 3-1 victory over the UW-Eau Claire Blugolds.
Eau Claire falls to 1-4-1 in the NCHA and 5-5-1 overall. The Yellowjackets are 3-1 in NCHA play and 9-1 overall.

Superior got on the board 23 seconds into the game as Aaron Berman scored with assists from Nate Rein and Stark.
The 'Jackets increased their lead to 3-0 as Seth Reda scored at 4:29, and Lennartson scored unassisted at 8:58. Lennartson and David Moncur helped out on Reda's goal.
After a scoreless middle period, in which UWEC outshot UWS 10-7, Chad Beiswenger missed out on his second shutout of the weekend when Kyle Garner scored on a power play with 10:33 remaining in the third period.
Beiswenger finished with 28 saves Sunday and Ryan Mensing had 29 stops for the Blugolds.
UWS is at UW-Stout at 7:30 p.m. Friday and hosts UW-River Falls at 7:05 p.m. Saturday.
