MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Wisconsin-Superior men's soccer remained
undefeated on the young season with a 3-0 win at North Central College Saturday afternoon.
It was the second straight shutout for the Yellowjackets, who opened the 2008 season with a 1-0 win Friday at Crown College.
Recording his second straight shutout for UWS was goalkeeper Tony Sorenson, a senior from Duluth Denfeld.
Superior's first two goals came on corner kicks. The first by Bryan Swanstrom, a senior from Duluth Denfeld, with an assist from Ben Mooney, a sophomore from Spooner.

The second goal was by Thomas Shuldeisz, a freshman from Andover, Minn., with help from freshman Logan George, a freshman defender from Anoka, Minn.
Mooney scored the game's final goal on a penalty kick.
"It's just phenomenal start to the season," UWS coach Joe Mooney said. "Hopefully we can continue it against some tough competition at the Concordia tournament next weekend and also at our home opener next Sunday against Bethel Lutheran."
The 'Jackets open the Concordia-Moorhead Tournament against the host Concordia College at 5 p.m. Friday. UWS will also face St. John's at 1 p.m.; Saturday before playing its home opener against Bethel Lutheran at 3 p.m. Sunday.
