It takes about 650 volunteers to plan and execute the Thanksgiving buffet at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center and satellite locations in Cloquet and Two Harbors.
And the 18th annual Twin Ports event Thursday will be no different. Volunteers are still needed for the buffet that runs 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the DECC and offers a turkey dinner with all the trimming free to about 3,000 guests in need or who would otherwise spend the holiday alone. Live music and visits from Santa are all part of the day's activities.

The Duluth Transit Authority will again offer free transportation to and from the DECC. Call 722-SAVE (722-7283) for times.
