The Superior High School volleyball team came up short against the Hibbing Blue Jackets, losing 3-0 Tuesday night at the SHS gym.
Hibbing swept the match with scores 25-14, 25-14, 25-17.
For Superior, Becca Vaughan had eight set assists and five digs; Ally Keute had 11 digs; Dani Magdzas had eight set assists, three kills, five digs and four block assists; Christa Diedrich added three kills, seven digs and three block assists; and Abby Gotelaere chipped in five kills and three block assists.
Hibbing got two kills, 13 digs, one block and 14 set assists from Courtney Wirtanen; three ace serves and four digs from Ebony Gray; 11 kills, three digs and five blocks from Kate Lange; eight kills and 11 digs from Laicee Grahek; and two ace serves, three kills and 11 digs from Taylor Varichak.
The Spartans host Duluth Central at 7 p.m. Thursday.
