A Green Bay man was charged with his sixth drunk driving offense following an incident last week in Superior.

Stormy Summers, 53, of Green Bay faces one felony count of operating while intoxicated-fifth or sixth offense. He made an initial appearance in Douglas County Circuit Court last week and was released after posting $1,500 cash bail.

According to the criminal complaint:

Superior Police Officer Michael Bach responded to a suspicious vehicle call at approximately 2:37 a.m. March 14. Bach found a GMC Jimmy facing southbound on the northbound side of East Second Street, partially on the shoulder and partially in the turn lane to turn west onto County Road E. The vehicle was running and Summers appeared to be asleep in the driver's seat.

The Green Bay man told Officer Bach that he had "a couple" drinks and stated numerous times statements similar to "I'm really buzzed." Summers' speech was slurred, he had a hard time walking, there was a strong odor of intoxicants from him and he failed the field sobriety tests. He was arrested for operating while intoxicated and a blood draw was taken. Court records show Summers had five previous convictions for intoxicated driving, the most recent in 2003. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for March 28.
