An early registration period for the 2010 Grandma's Marathon begins Monday and continues through Sept. 7, featuring a $10 discount off the $85 entry fee.
Those entering during the period also will receive a package of coupons and discounts connected to hotels in the area and entertainment attractions, said Grandma's Marathon officials.
After Sept. 7, the entry increases to $85 until the race reaches a 9,500-runner capacity. Grandma's Marathon has traditionally opened registration in January. The 2010 race is June 19. The accompanying Garry Bjorklund Half-Marathon will have a lottery entry period from Feb. 17 through March 1. The William A. Irvin five-kilometer race June 18 opens registration March 17.
