The Superior City Council passed a pair of ordinance changes Tuesday, June 4 to ease parking restrictions on Ogden Avenue and give all-terrain and utility-task vehicle riders in the village of Superior access to city routes.
On Ogden Avenue between Broadway and Belknap streets, the two-hour parking restriction will be lifted, but no parking between 3 a.m. and 6 a.m. will remain in place to allow for snow removal in the winter.
ATV and UTV riders in the village of Superior will be able to access year-round routes in the city along Oakes Avenue between North 64th and North 58th streets and North 60th Street from Oakes Avenue to the alley between Tower and Banks avenues.
The ordinance changes go into effect Friday, June 14, when they are published; however the new ATV route will have to be posted for ATV use before riders can use the new route, likely early the week of Monday, June 17, according to Public Works Director Todd Janigo. He said two-hour parking limit signs on Ogden Avenue will come down once the ordinance goes into effect.
