The public has a chance to weigh in on the tentative plans that will alter Douglas County’s supervisory districts for the next decade.
A public hearing at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 14 in the Government Center Boardroom gives residents the opportunity to address concerns about proposed changes after the 2020 U.S. Census.
Following the public hearing, comments made by the public will be evaluated to determine if the tentative districts will be approved by the county board.
“If a change can be justified, we can make that change,” Douglas County Clerk Susan Sandvick said during the last meeting of the redistricting committee.
The county board will consider the tentative plan at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16 in the Government Center Boardroom.
The tentative plan can be viewed at douglascountywi.org/csdtentativeplan.
