With the final adjustments made to Superior’s Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan, it’s on to the Council.

The plan didn't outline specific projects or costs, but established priority for projects the city hopes to pursue in the future.

High priority projects identified in the plan include installing restrooms at some of Superior’s more popular parks, upgrading rustic boat launches, extending the Millennium Trail to State Highway 105 in the Superior Municipal Forest, developing non-motorized trails, increasing water access and developing a water trail for paddlers.

The Parks & Recreation Commission gave its final approval to the plan Thursday, Jan. 23.

The Council will consider adopting the plan when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 in Room 201 of the Government Center.
