Superior’s garbage haulers will be working harder next week to collect the city’s trash by the end of the day Wednesday, Nov. 27.

All city staff, except police and fire, are off Thursday, Nov. 28, and Friday, Nov. 29, for the Thanksgiving holiday.

That means while there are no changes to trash collection for customers who have their trash hauled away Monday, those collected subsequent days of the week will need to have their trash out early next week.

Those with Tuesday collection should have their trash available by 7 a.m. Monday, and those collected later in the week should make their cans available two days earlier than normal.

There are fewer changes to the recycling schedule as a result of the holiday. Recycling will be picked up on schedule Monday through Wednesday. Thursday and Friday customers can expect a one-day delay in collection.

Recycling questions can be directed to Hartels/DBJ at 218-729-5446.
