Golfers with gift cards or certificates for the Nemadji Golf Course will want to use them before management changes hands in November.
During a closed session meeting Thursday, Aug. 8, the Finance Committee voted to recommend against honoring gift cards or certificates issued by Nemadji Public Golf Course Inc. when KemperSports takes over management Nov. 5.
Other issues discussed in closed session:
- Terminating the Nemadji Public Golf Course Inc. lease effective Nov. 4.
- Revising the KemperSports management agreement start date to Nov. 5.
- Increasing the 2019 allocation for the city-owned golf in the capital improvement fund from $150,000 to $500,000. A portion of that allocation will pay for $90,000 for equipment and furnishings in the clubhouse and kitchen, and equipment to maintain the grounds.
Because the issues were discussed in closed session, the recommendations were omitted from the Council agenda for Tuesday, Aug. 20. The recommendations will go before the Council when it meets Sept. 3, according to City Clerk Terri Kalan.
