The town of Superior secured a $1.8 million loan to build its new fire hall.
The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands approved a State Trust Fund Loan on Tuesday, July 2. It was among loans totally almost $14.1 million in loans approved for sewer and water service projects, roadwork, vehicle purchases, business development and school projects throughout the state.
The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands operates entirely on program revenue, without taxpayer money and distributes more than 96 cents of every dollar of interest earned on State Trust Fund investments to Wisconsin’s public schools.
The 2019 earnings of $36.2 million are the sole source of state funding for K‑12 public school library materials.
