The Northwestern Tigers boys golf team split a pair of Heart O' North Conference matches Monday at Ladysmith.
The Tigers' score of 166 was three strokes better than the host Lumberjacks' 169, but 14 behind Hayward's 152.
Ladysmith's Jake Nelson was the meet medalist with a 35. Hayward's Jimmy Thompson and Trevor Vandelac were second and third with rounds of 36 and 37, respectively.
For Northwestern, Orrin Botten and Nolan Tokar carded 40s and Reece Bartelt and Josh Rowe had 43s. Sam Knapp's 46 was the team's non-counting score.
The Tigers are at Cumberland at 4 p.m. today.
