The Solon Springs Eagles fell to a much older Glidden team 52-27 on Friday night.

"We had a lot of trouble with ball handling and the pressure they (Glidden) put on us," Matt Berger, head coach of the Eagles, said.

The team simply had too many turnovers, Berger said, and was not able to keep up with the more experienced Glidden team.

In the first quarter, Solon Springs managed to score just two points while Glidden scored 13. The second quarter was a little more even in terms of scoring, but the Eagles didn't make up any ground as they were outscored 8-7.

Glidden continued to dominate in the second half, leading 35-19 after the third quarter. The Eagles were not able to challenge Glidden's lead in the fourth quarter and fell 52-27.
