The Washburn Castle Guards basketball team rallied past the Solon Springs Eagles for a 49-36 victory Tuesday night at the SSHS gym.
The Eagles led 21-20 at the half before the Castle Guards outscored the home team 17-9 in the third quarter and 12-6 in the fourth. Washburn led 11-10 after one quarter
Kate Klinzing and Rachel Hanley led the Eagles with 13 and 12 points, respectively. Salann Gilbert and Grace Larson each chipped in with four points and Lorin Larson and Lydia Utyro had two apiece.
Maddy Siroin led Washburn with 20 points and Casey Gasperini added 16.
From the free-throw line, Solon Springs was 7-of-9 and Washburn was 10-of-20.
