Brent Frazier and Christa Diedrich, both juniors at Superior High School, were selected as the Superior Noon Optimist Club Junior Optimists for the month of January.
Brent participates in SHS soccer, track and field. Future Business Leaders of America, and Quiz Bowl. He is a member of the National Honor Society Superior Police Department. Andy plans to continue his education after high school, and would like to play soccer at the college level.
Christa participates in SHS volleyball, basketball, track and Pledgemakers. She is a member of the National Honor Society and the Superior/Douglas County Youth Leadership program. Her plans for her future include attending college to study to be either a teacher or correctional therapist.
The students have been joining the Optimist Club for weekly luncheon meetings. They will have the opportunity next fall to apply for a $1000 community service award sponsored by the club.
