Four people were injured Sunday following a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of County Road B and U.S. Highway 53.
Patricia L. Albertson, 19, was driving eastbound on County Road B when she crossed into the northbound lanes, striking another motor vehicle squarely in the side, according to a state traffic report filed by the Douglas County Sheriff's Department.
It said Albertson failed to yield at the intersection of the county road and highway when she struck an older full-size sedan driven by Patrick Simenson, 23, Superior.
Both vehicles went spinning off the road following impact.
Simenson was driving northbound with an infant and two adults in his vehicle. Shawn Ronning, 20, Duluth, and Jamie Pfieffer, 20, Superior, were in Simenson's vehicle at the time of the crash.

Albertson and all three adults were taken to Duluth-area hospitals -- three by ambulance and one by air ambulance. The infant, Kiara Simenson, was not believed injured in the accident. She was taken to the hospital later for an examination.
The medical conditions of the people involved in the accident are not known.
The accident occurred shortly before 7 p.m.
