An unidentified driver, center, checks to see if his car is drivable following a four-car accident along North 28th Street in Monday afternoon.
The accident occurred when a westbound vehicle rear-ended another car waiting in line for the stoplight at the corner of 28th Street and Hammond Avenue, causing a chain reaction, according to Sgt. Matt Markon of the Superior Police Department. The 17-year-old driver was cited for inattentive driving, Markon said.
Traffic had backed up as the entrance to Northern Lights School at the time of the accident, about 3:20 p.m. One person complained of injury, Markon said, and an ambulance was dispatched.
