Former Superior Police Chief Robert "Bob" Bennett died Friday in St. Mary's, Duluth.
Bennett served as a Superior police officer for 36 years, retiring as chief in 1989.
A former professional baseball player with the Brooklyn Dodgers and Chicago White Sox, Bennett was 80.
