Food bank earns accountability seal

Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank, Duluth, has been awarded the Charities Review Council "Meets All Standards" Seal indicating it meets 16 accountability standards. Nonprofit organizations can earn the seal by voluntarily participating in the Council's online accountability program. As the region's only food bank, Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank rescues 2.5 million pounds of nationally and regionally donated food for distribution to 140 regional non-profit programs located throughout its northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin service region annually.
