Three people died in a house fire at 1318 Sixth St. W. in Ashland on Monday, July 5.

The Ashland police and fire departments responded to a call at approximately 9:33 a.m. Firefighters found that three people had exited the burning house. One of the three was transported to Memorial Medical Center for burn injuries, according to a news release from the Ashland Police Department.

Later, upon investigation, three people were found dead in the house.

The incident remains under investigation by the Ashland Fire Department, Ashland Police Department and State Fire Marshal. Names of the three victims have been withheld pending family notifications.
