A fire caused an estimated $8,000 damage to a Superior home Saturday, Oct. 12. No injuries were reported, according to a release from Battalion Chief Howard Huber with the Superior Fire Department.
The Superior fire and police departments and Mayo Ambulance responded to a fire at a single-family residence in the 2200 block of Tower Avenue at 5 a.m. There was one person in the home and they exited safely on their own, Huber said.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke conditions, but quickly located and extinguished the fire. Firefighting efforts shut down a section of Tower Avenue for approximately 90 minutes.
