An early morning fire in Superior caused about $5,000 in damage to a home at 1018 Grand Ave, according to a news release issued by the Superior Fire Department.
Fire crews were called to the residence shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday, and found a fire on the first floor of the two-story house. Firefighters attacked the blaze and quickly brought it under control, containing the damage to a small area in the entryway of the residence.
Gold Cross paramedics examined the homeowners and released them at the scene. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire, which kept crews on the scene for about two hours, is under investigation by the Superior police and fire departments.
