The Superior Fire Department responded to a blaze at a home at 1006 Hammond Ave. at 10:25 p.m. Thursday.

Three engine companies and the battalion chief responded and saw smoke and flames coming from the front of the house, side door and windows upon arrival.

One firefighter, Joe Tribbey, suffered minor arm burns, but the department confirmed he was on duty Friday morning.

The single-family dwelling, which was unoccupied at the time of the fire, has smoke damage and an estimated $20,000 of damage.

Firefighters cleared the scene by 11:51 p.m. The fire is under investigation.
