LinkWisconsin launched a consumer research survey that asks Wisconsin residents about broadband high-speed internet service. Research results will be shared with community, state and business leaders to provide valuable input impacting broadband deployment. That survey began in July. Additional surveys now are being conducted in the Chippewa Valley region, Marathon County, Menominee County, Platteville and Superior to provide statistically significant survey results to the broadband projects being conducted by those communities in partnership with the University of Wisconsin-Extension.

The research will identify how households use broadband and the benefits of that use. For those who do not use broadband, this study will ask why and what would motivate them to use broadband.

A combination of telephone interviews and online surveys will capture this information, ideally with at least 400 responses.
