A man will spend more than a year in prison for escaping from the Gordon Correctional Center in September 2011.
Danny Davis, 32, pleaded guilty in Douglas County Circuit Court Oct. 23 to one count felony escape. He was sentenced to 1½ years in prison and an additional 2½ years of extended supervision. Davis also was ordered to pay $268 in court costs.
Davis walked away from the correctional facility in rural Douglas County along with fellow inmates Gary Gene Wells, 47, and Loren Ray Frikart, 32.
According to the criminal complaint:
Davis was serving time for five burglary convictions in Eau Claire County at the time of the escape.

Video from the facility showed Wells, Frikart and Davis putting paint supplies away, parking a tractor and going back behind the wood shop that evening; it was the last accounting of their whereabouts.
Frikart and Wells were located two days later in South Superior and arrested. Both pleaded no contest to escape. Frikart was sentenced to three years of probation and one year in jail. Wells was sentenced to three years prison -- 18 months confinement and 18 months extended supervision. Both were consecutive to the sentence they had been serving when they escaped.
In January 2012, four months after the three men disappeared from the correctional center, Davis was charged with burglary in Kentucky. He pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary on April 23, 2012, and was sentenced to five years in prison, according to Fayette County Circuit Court in Kentucky. At the time, he had a Lexington, Ky., address.
