Deanna Rantala and Brad Corry of Superior plan to be married Oct. 11, 2008, in Poplar.
Her parents are Cliff and Lynn Rantala of Oulu and his parents are Tim and Wendy Corry of Lake Nebagamon and Glenn and Laura Johnson of Portland, Ore.
The future bride, a 2004 graduate of South Shore High School in Port Wing, graduated in 2008 from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a bachelor's degree in mass communications and business. Currently, she is working as the marketing coordinator for Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank in Duluth.
The future groom, a 1997 graduate of Northwestern High School in Maple, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin-Superior after serving overseas for seven years in the United States Marine Corps.
