Enbridge protesters arrested in Carlton County

Two people were arrested Thursday afternoon while protesting Enbridge Energy’s Line 3 pipeline in Carlton County.
A group of demonstrators gathered on Nasenius Road off of Carlton County Road 61 near Twin Lakes Township to protest Enbridge’s Line 3 pipeline. At approximately 1:50 p.m., a woman from Hinckley and a man from Duluth were arrested for trespassing. Both were lodged at Carlton County Jail.
The News Tribune does not typically identify suspects until formal charges are filed. Demonstrators left the area at approximately 2:45 p.m.
