Elizabeth "Jean" Fradenburgh, 84, lifetime Superior resident, joined the Lord on Friday, July 13, 2007, at St. Francis Home in the Park, Superior.

She was born Dec. 15, 1922, in Superior, daughter of John and Sophia (Tennier) Meysman.

She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

On Sept. 18, 1944, in Superior, she married Lloyd Fradenburgh, and they celebrated 53 years of marriage, before his passing in 1997.

Jean was a lifelong member of Holy Assumption Catholic Church, and her faith gave her great comfort.

Some of her special interests included crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing cards and watching television game shows.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Steven Ross; and brothers, Frank, Robert and Phillip Meysman.

She is survived and sadly missed by three children, Linda (Dan) Ross, Superior, Laura (Steve) Williams, Menasha, Wis., and Dale Fradenburgh, Superior; four grandchildren, Cathy, Chris and Elizabeth Williams, and Shelby (Tony) Green; a sister, Donalda Matiski, Superior; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Assumption Catholic Church and continues until the 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial, with the Rev. Ronald Olson as celebrant.

Inurnment will be in the Canterbury Columbarium at Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.

Downs Funeral Home, corner of Ogden Avenue and North 19th Street, is assisting the family with arrangements.
