Elizabeth J. "Betty" Gokey, 75, Superior, formerly of Hayward, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2007, at St. Francis in the Park Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 9, 1932, in Hayward to Charles and Christina (LaRock) Patrick. She married Gregory L. Gokey Sr. and would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on Nov. 26, 2007.
She was employed as a cook at The Hanger Restaurant, The Belknap and the Saratoga. She was an active member of AMVETS and volunteered as an auxiliary lady.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory L. Sr. and her children, Gregory L. Jr. (Ann) Gokey, Diane (Doug) Allen, Dawn (Dave) Rask, Dennis (Cindy) Gokey, Dean (Jeanne) Gokey, Jeff (Angie) Gokey, Tina (Tom) Anderson, Lois Vnuk and Dan Gokey; her 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Sherrie) Patrick and sister Jan (Tom) Shuman; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Gokey, brother, Neil Patrick and sister, Shirley Nelson.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Friday at Pineview Funeral Service, Reserve, Wis. A Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Church, Reserve.
Active pallbearers will be Gabe Gokey, Jesse Rask, Ross Vnuk, Tweed Schuman, Todd Schuman, and Ricky Anderson. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Rask, Donnie White and Daniel Sloan.
