Edward Joseph Gudowski died on Dec. 7, 2006. Born July 12, 1913, in Superior, he moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1951.
After retiring from Kelly Air Force Base in 1978 he enjoyed traveling, painting, gardening and bowling, which he was still doing up until two months ago.
He was a member of The Knights of Columbus 4140, St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church and St. Joseph Society.
He is survived by daughters, Barbara Pozzi and Carol McClellan, daughter-in-law, Esther Gudowski, 13 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Gudowski, son, Edward R. Gudowski, brothers, Joseph Gudowski, Theodore Gudowski and sister, Wanda Hoium.

A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 700 Dewhurst, San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
