Nearly 800 students who completed their degrees will be eligible to receive diplomas when the University of Wisconsin-Superior conducts its virtual commencement at noon on Saturday, Dec. 19.

Chancellor Renée Wachter will preside over the ceremony and celebrate students who have earned associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Fall 2019 and spring, summer and fall 2020. The event will include remarks by UWS graduate Ric Sommerville, as well as UW System Regents Kyle Weatherly, Ed Manydeeds and Karen Walsh.

The student speaker will be Nathaniel Ballard, a bachelor’s degree candidate. Ballard is an elementary education major with an instructional minor from Duluth.
