Adults looking to improve their literacy skills can do so by taking advantage of free education classes offered at several locations around Northwestern Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College and Northwest Wisconsin Concentrated Employment Program have partnered to offer the free classes to help individuals broaden their employment options by improving reading, writing, math, computer skills and more, according to a news release from WITC.

The classes will be offered at nine WITC locations around Northwestern Wisconsin, including Superior and Ashland.

Anyone looking to utilize the free education will be matched with a tutor who can provide one-on-one support in a mutually agreed upon public location, the news release stated.

Tutors can also help individuals navigate online job applications, create a resume, attain a General Educational Development or High School Equivalency diploma, set up a budget, prepare to attend college and more.

Interested individuals can contact the Northwest Wisconsin CEP using one of three options: call 715-392-6762, text 715-600-3571 or email cconstantine@nwcep.org.
