Associate's, bachelor's and master's degrees were awarded during the University of Wisconsin-Superior's commencement at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at Siinto S. Wessman Arena. The commencement address was given by Duluth's Janet Mohr, executive director of the Minnesota Board of School Administrators.

The student speaker was Lori Dargatz of Duluth. A 1989 Superior High School alumna, Dargatz earned a Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies: professional studies, with a focus on business administration, communication and psychology. She graduated from UWS with magna cum laude honors.

The Chancellor's Leadership Award was given to Marta Lartson, Sydney Mastey, Opeyemi Omiwale and Emily VerWay.
