Students host worldly feast, show
The University of Wisconsin-Superior will showcase food and cultures from around the world at its annual Cultural Night on March 3. The theme for this year's Cultural Night is "Joy around the World."
This annual event, which is sponsored by World Students Association, features an international dinner and cultural performances by students.
Dinner is served in the Yellowjacket Union Great Room, 1605 Catlin Ave., at 5 p.m. The family-style meal consists of Indian butter chicken and Chinese vegetable dumplings with jollof rice and Brazilian cheese bread finished with tiramisu for dessert and bubble tea to drink.
The performance starts at 6 p.m. in Thorpe Langley Auditorium in Old Main, 1710 Weeks Ave. The community is welcome to attend the family-friendly event, which will feature performances from the cultures of Japan, Vietnam, Ojibwe, China, the U.S. and more.
Tickets for the dinner and show are $18 for adults, $15 for students and $6 for children 5 and under. Prices for the show only are $14 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets can be purchased in advance with cash or check at Old Main Room 337 at UW-Superior. A limited number of show-only tickets will be available at the door.
