WITC honors Superior graduates tonight

Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College-Superior hold its commencement ceremony at 7 p.m. today at the Superior Middle School.

The 105-year-old college is proud to confer the Class of 2017 with degrees and diplomas from the allied health, nursing, business, public safety, family and consumer services, as well as trade and technical divisions. About 606 students have applied to graduate. Final graduate numbers will be available in June. 

This number includes students from the across the WITC District in Superior, Ashland, Rice Lake and New Richmond campuses. About 109 students on the Superior campus have applied to graduate.

Several students will also be receiving their GED/HSED and program certificates during commencement.

WITC’s last graduate follow-up survey showed that 93 percent of 2016 graduates surveyed were hired within just six months of graduating. Graduates employed in a job related to their training are earning an average starting salary of $37,829 annually.
