Edna M. Phephles, 92, a lifelong Superior resident died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, at the Middle River Health Facility.
Edna was born in Superior on Dec. 14, 1915, to Ole and Sigrid Jacobson. Edna worked as a beautician in Superior for many years. She was a former member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and a current member of Our Savior's Lutheran church. Edna was a member of Superior Chapter 252 Order of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine of Jerusalem Number 11 and the Royal Neighbors.
Edna was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and her husband, Ralph Phephles.
She is survived by her cousins, Sally Anderson of Superior; Don and Mugs Anderson of Superior; many cousins and her adopted family, Paul and Judy Hegstrom, their children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from noon until the 1:30 p.m. funeral service in the Thompson Hegstrom Funeral Home. The Rev. Lee Boleman will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church or the Douglas County Humane Society. Arrangements by Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home.
